Head of Finance
Own the numbers – shape the function – influence the future
Mover is a profitable logistics and technology scale-up headquartered in Copenhagen, with IKEA as shareholder and global partner. Over the past two years, our head of finance has done a great job building a strong foundation across reporting, forecasting, processes, and financial governance. As she moves on to new opportunities, we are looking for an ambitious successor to inherit that foundation and drive the next phase of our finance journey.
This is a rare chance for an up-and-coming finance talent to step into real leadership, take full ownership of finance across multiple business units and countries, and shape a function with clear future growth and strategic influence.
THE OPPORTUNITY
You will take end-to-end responsibility for Mover’s finance agenda from day one. Accounting is operated externally, and you will be supported by two part-time student assistants and our Data Analytics team.
Your immediate focus is to run our finance operations confidently and reliably, and ensure that the financial setup is successfully extended to cover our new legal entities in the Netherlands and Norway. Simultaneously you will begin to strengthen forecasting, performance management, and financial insight. As you settle in, you will build the team with at least one additional full-time operational finance hire in 2026, freeing your bandwidth to step deeper into FP&A, business partnering, and strategic decision support.
THE JOB
- Take full ownership of all finance activities across Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, and Belgium and build a strong and compliant transfer pricing setup.
- Run month-end close, reporting, consolidation, liquidity management, and operational finance tasks in collaboration with our external accounting partner.
- Manage reliable cash forecasting, day-to-day cash management, and treasury tasks across the three countries and currencies we operate in.
- Lead forecasting, scenario planning, and performance reviews across the business.
- Strengthen P&L transparency, unit economics, cost ownership, and data-driven insights.
- Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team on strategic planning, pricing, investment cases, and financial architecture.
- Develop the finance function into a strategic business partner beyond financial operations.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Tech, and Data Science & Analytics to drive performance, structure, and clarity.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a driven, analytical, and ambitious finance profile who wants to step up and take on broader responsibility. You are both strategic and hands-on. You can operate the engine room today while building something more strategic for tomorrow.
You likely bring most of the following:
- A relevant master’s degree within finance, economics, management accounting, or similar.
- Experience from FP&A, business controlling, corporate finance, or strategy.
- Some leadership experience and experience with close collaboration with senior management.
- A strong analytical toolkit and the ability to turn data into insight and action.
- Confidence in operating financial processes independently with high precision.
- Drive, curiosity, and the motivation to influence decisions and shape a function.
- Experience with configuring agentic AI-models to automate and optimize financial workflows is a plus.
- Experience from high-growth or operationally complex environments is a plus.
You will thrive here if you…
- Want ownership, accountability, and the chance to make your mark.
- Are energized by a mix of operational execution and strategic impact.
- Are structured, analytical, and comfortable navigating complexity.
- Want to work closely with senior leadership and influence company direction.
- Value autonomy, high ambition, and a team that gets things done.
THE PACKAGE
- A high-impact finance leadership role in a profitable, growing scale-up.
- Direct collaboration with the CEO and leadership team.
- A clear path toward a more strategic finance role as the team grows.
- Competitive compensation aligned with experience and progression.
- A collaborative, energetic, and execution-focused working environment.
